===== What is OrcasHub =====

OrcasHub started as a passion project by an individual living on Orcas to create a suite of online tools for residents where they can share, collaborate, and communicate. It began in early 2023 with the [[https://orcashub.org/classified/for-sale|classifieds]], quickly expanded to include an [[https://events.orcashub.org|events calendar]] and has been gradually growing since.

The OrcasHub tools are free to use for everyone, place user privacy first, and are designed to be light-weight and accessible. If you're interested in helping, please get in touch with the contact form at the bottom of the [[https://orcashub.org|homepage]].

Would you like to get involved in Orcashub? We're a small team and would love to grow to include more members of the community. There are lots of ways you can contribute!

  * First of all, tell your friends. The more people using it the better it will be for everyone!
  * We've got lots of features we'd like to add if you're software development inclined.
  * Outreach to new parts of the community for those who enjoy marketing and networking.
  * Be a part of our discussions and brainstorming to help vet ideas.
  * Be a tester when we're rolling out new features to help evaluate ease of use and identify rough spots.
  * OrcasHub is and will always be completely free, but [[https://orcashub.org/donate|donations]] when you're able really help keep the lights on.
